i have 5 frontosa in 55 gallon tank the big one is 3.5 inches now i am thinking to remove the other and keep only one with other cichlids can it be done

What other cichlids are you planning to keep with it? That will make a huge difference.

I agree with the other posters. A 36" tank is no good long term for Fronts. Plus, your Flowerhorns will get just as big as the Fronts. In fact, they grow a lot faster than Fronts
