Hey Everybody,

Sorry for all these threads Ive been posting when ever I have a question in mind... I just search some threads a few sites and come up empty handed or with very unconvincing info.

Just curious whenever I get the ray tank going will thier be a problem with a trio of sting rays living together permanent? Being 2 females and 1 male? The females will be larger then the male of coarse but by how much? I figure 2-3 inches? Or will the male get to agressive and end up causing problems?

Thanks,

In general two females are fine with one male. It's good for females to be a little larger than the male so they can put up with his breeding aggression but keep in mind females grow larger and faster anyway. I picked up a male mm and a female motoro about the same time as pups. They started breeding when the male was 10" and the female 12" which was 1.5 yrs. They are now 11-12" and 19-20" and still breeding on a regular basis.

Hey thanks they will most likely be marble motoros in a 96 x36 x 30 or if the price is right possibly a 96 x 48 x 30.., the size would defintly be that the females are larger...should introduce all at once?

I've introduced multiple rays at once as well as a new single ray and never had an issue. In general rays get along with each other. I now have multiple females and males with no issues but only one of my males is mature.

Ok thanks for the reply, good think as that will give me time to save up between addition of rays instead of spending money all at once, and increasing bio-load all at once thanks a million!
