with other fish or will they eat them

I had one that would live with my fish no problem, and one that was so aggressive it would attack your hands if they were over the tank...

The smaller sp tend to be less inclined to sample a tankmate in my exp. But i wouldnt risk it with a larger type of wolf, especially if there are expensive tankmates with it.

for the hoplias species.
the larger more aggressive species.
try tankmates that can hold their own.
smaller species can be kept with other fish.

with red high fin/rainbows and gold wolfs you could try it with biger tuff fish like cichilds or other fish that won't get picked on

with common wolf fish you could try large tuff fish or other bigger fish but no garentes DON'T mix them with fish you care about or are expensive you will regret it

the thing with wolf fish is that things go bad fast and when your not looking most wolfs just sit there and lay on the bottem dureing the day but at night there swiming around and giveing other fish a hard time so the fish that get killed are killed at night and when they kill one fish they will most likely start killing the rest of the fish in the tank Plus they do it fast wolf fish get there name for there large and sharp teeth
