I got some freeze dried krill from the brand tetra and was wondering if my axolotl would be able to eat them because krill is saltwater, but it is freeze dried, i have a wild type that's about 8-9 inches and a 6 inch leucistic. I was thinking about feeding them occasional (I mean a few times a year, mainly thanksgiving, christmas, and holidays as a treat) once they hit the 10-12 inch mark. thanks

Yes they can eat the krill in moderation, would avoid pinkies, but small feeder minnows or guppies make a fun food if quarantined, if you have room you can breed mosquitofish quite easily in plastic tubs with elodea

Ok, why should I avoid the pinkies? I hear they are ok for large axolotls, but I hear one pinkie is equal to about 4 adult crickets

ok, makes sense, thanks, I've noticed you reply to a lot of stuff I say, This will be my first full year in the hobby, i got a 29 for my 14th birthday and ill be 15 in a month, thanks for all the help
I reply a lot because your willing to learn and do so with a good attitude, in other words the hallmark traits of a REAL monsterfishkeeper.

I really just want a peacock bass (temensis), a silver or jardini arowana, some tanganyika cichlids, a ripsaw catfish, an albino and zebrar oscar, some bichirs, a fahaka puffer fish, and a type of gar. There's several other fish I'd like to get that are a bit smaller, some more exotic plecos, schools of various tetras, various guppies, kuhli and gold dojo loaches (I have them both and love them), and various other small fish

Have you considered breeding your loaches?
