Hi guys so I have a female MM with a 9 inch. disk, she is more or less one year old but I am not sure about her grade can anyone help me out?

Also for curiosity what is there growth rate in 1 year? (inches the disk grows per year on average)

Thanks :D

I believe she is saying...feed me. Looks similar to when my rays blow in the sand. As long as she is eating all should be fine.
She does look a bit thin. If she is new to the tank, she may be stressed. If not eating, seperate her with a divider.

That was an old issue it is just to see the ray. What she is doing is normal and she is very healthy now, I'm just intrigued with her grade and her growth rate.

There is no official grading system for rays. Some people throw around terms like "AAA" but they have no objective meaning. I couldn't help you with marble growth rate-- I've never kept that variety.

Nice ray by the way.

Thank You very much, who can help me on the growth issue then? :D

For me an inch or two a year on a 8"-9" female was what I experienced. There are some things to suggest two different varieties of marbled motoro which would have different growth rate and max size. Yours from my limited experience seems to be one of the "Mini Marbles"

Thanks. Can you further explain that concept of "mini motoros?"

My marble female put on about 4-5 inches per yr for the first two that I have owned her, she had pups at 2 yrs old.

Thanks, yeah I heard it's normal to reach maturity at 3 years, but I feed mine every 3 days but I was just curious if that was too little for her.

Thanks guys :D

Nice ray. I would feed more if you want to stick to that schedule or switch to every other day.
