can any one help me with my iphone

i have the first generation i phone. i have been reading about jail braking/unlocking it.

now since i already have it through at&t, if i unlock it will the iphone still work over the at&t network. or will it mess with things.

i wouldn't take the chance, if something goes wrong they'll know you jail broke it and wont give you a new one

Yes, it will still work if you do the right jailbreak. I jailbroke my ipod touch and then my friends iphone and it has been like that for maybe 6-7 months and he loves it...

the only way apple will replace the iphone if it is a hardware problem. and even that is a very short warrenty. my mom got the iphone 3g, it hase a better warrenty, after a wek she dropped it like 2 feet and it broke, apple made her buy a new one

but any ways i went through and jail broke it, worked great, love it now.
