I have 2 that look the same. I bought them as geo winemilleri.

That’s what I was told when I bought them but looking in the books I have. And on the net I am not sure they look different

I have just checked it out on the cichlid forum and it looks very much like abailos as you said thanks for the help

They look like abalios to me also.
Very difficult to tell apart from other geos in the group like proximus.
I have read that abalios has 6 vertical bars so try to count them.
Definitely not winemilleri as they lack the black cheek mark that that species has on its gill cover.

The turquoise/blue band in winemilleri more obviously wraps around the blotch mark on their side, tail pattern is subtly different, more dashed to striped vs. partial spots, and (as mentioned) they develop a black vertical dash on their cheek.

Thanks for that I have just counted and they have 6 bars and I am more or less confident they are abalios thanks for all the help cheers
