Hi there,

not sure what this could be any help is good. seems like its the only fish in the tank to have it!

also look at the photo of the fish with the spots on the tail any idea...

The eye is popped out and there is a big lesion on the side of it...

I would like to treat this...

wow was it hard to take a photo...

Thanks...

Sorry, difficult to tell from the pics.

My guess it's caused by either tumour, physical injury or infection. The first two of these could be complicated by secondary infection. So basically you could start by isolating the fish if practical and treat for bacterial infection with a broad spectrum medication.

White spots could be ich (again hard to tell from pics) which is a seperate issue to deal with. Read the sticky thread on ich for suitable treatment.

One other thought.... is the lesion open like HITH? Either way, I would also focus on water quality, perform the usual tests and do plenty of water changes. Fish are most likely to become diseased in water of poor quality.

A lot to think about but I hope that maybe gives you a starting point.
Good luck.

Thanks man,

I think it is harder to catch fish then to photograph them...

It not ick...That i know...

The water quality was not great the last couple of months...but much better now.

I think it is physical thing too...

I have some stuff the fish store gave me it turns orange green when wet I think that is an antibiotic, either way i will sett up a q tank and take it out...

Thanks...
