Can any one tell me whats wrong with my Arowana,
It Jumped out of the tank while I was doing some maintenance... & moved it to a more suitable tank "Half Cylinder shaped" along with an old Knife Clown tankmate + a new similar sized Florida Gar...
Since then It lost its apatite & for the last 3 days almost ate nothing... its whiskers are turning red & falling off, as if they are inflamed...
No pellets "used to love them".
No beef chops.
No Fresh Shrimp. "Loved this too"
Not even a live feeder fish.

I'm really worried about it...

Damn both those fish are in a 56 gallon. Time to upgrade brethren.

Guys any hints on the RED whiskers?? Lost of appetite. ..
they have been in this tank for 4 days only...The Arowana was in another 52-53 Gallon narrow rectangular tank in he was doing great & grow from 8" to almost 19" in less than a year or so...
My point is I don't think the space is the major problem that is causing his illness... for the future ok I'll get a larger tank... but for now I want to cure my arrowana first...

Appreciate your replies & help...

Could be a fungus?

No, the chances would be smaller...Avoid any stress, turn out the lights and add a bit salt. You said it jumped out? Was it injured? Placing him in another tank now could kill him. Try to heal him and then put him in another tank.

Whats wrong is it jumped out and then to further the stress you put it into a new tank. To top it of the tank is way to small and the dimensions even making the matters worse.

The aro is not eating because it is stressed. At least do what you can to keep the water params pristine, this means nitrates never over 10 ppm.

yeah. moving the fish to a new set-up was definitely not good. moving back now could be him worse (or kill it). now just keep the water nice and clean. dont try to feed just yet ... that gar may not like company too...

Many Thanks DariusAmurdarja for your reply,

There were no signs of injuries, except for 2-3 scales damaged, No open wounds, he swims perfectly smooth...
I noticed his behavior changed drastically he used to be almost fully tamed, coming toward me when I approach his old tank almost taking my fingers when i offer him his meal doesn't mind my hand when I do maintenance to his tank...
Now he is all different, swims away from me & avoiding us + not taking any type of food + the red falling off whiskers...

any way, I started treating him with Tetra Fungi-stop for 2 days now... I don't see any signs of improvement... overall I must say he seem healthy except for the Whiskers part... Behavior wise as I stated above is so bad & acting like a totally different fish...
