Senegal Bichir 100% sure

Polypterus senegalus to be all fussy. The care for your senegal is pretty much the same as your ropefish-Anne

cheers, ive got him in a 90l at the mo, but he's only about 4". any idea how quick/how large they grow?? as im saving for a much larger tank, 300 ltr plus.

Hey where did you get that albino clawed frog from in your avatar? I used to have one years ago when I lived back east, but I haven't seen one in ages. Also I think that they may have been banned in California so I don't know if I could ever get one..

how large they grow? 10-12 inches
how quick? This can vary some grow extrememly fast some don't you'll have to watch its growth ratefor example I have seen them grow an inch to almost two inches per month
till 7-8 inches then the growth in length tends to slow and they fill out(girth). To help maximize its growth potential feed it several small meals daily instead of one big meal,
keep the temp.in the high 70s to low 80sF and keep the water as clean as possible-Anne

thanks for the info and the advice anne, its sure to help me loads, and to bichirs for life, i got the toads here in the uk, and the pic is of one of mine, being dumb as usual

senegal bichir.
one of the most active bichirs.
grows to about 12 inches.
growth rate has always been fast on the ones ive had.
