i formatted my comp, it was home built by an old freind.anyway my question is, i formatted my comp and now i have no sound.in my control panel it says no sound device.i cant find a driver for my motther board.onboard sound.honestly i dont really know enough.im just trying to fig it out.my motherboard is a ASRock 939Dual-SATA2.if anyone could help that would be great.i have no sound...TIA

System restore....;)The settings will change back, and your saved files will remain...Did you download a media player recently?

If you cannot find the driver for your on board sound device. I suggest going with a stand alone replacement sound card.

For example: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829102002

A low to mid range card will likely be better than what your motherboard came with anyways. It will also come with a driver disk and possibly some other audio related software.

you can always go for the mother boards site and there search for downloads or support for your mother board
