Can anyone help ID this acara type

I picked this acara up a few months ago. It was dropped off at a local pet store with an adult JD and several large gold severums.
Very peaceful and about 7" long-

just looked it up, it certainly does but it seems to be larger than the Krobia grow
 
I agree,looks a lot like krobia guianensis.
I would expect a male to reach a good 6 inches.
 
It is not a xinguensis- then it would have orange and a wider body- could be one of many "port cichlids" - lets see if we can get someone to proper id duanes duanes

To my eyes the finage and scale pattern looks more krobia the aequidens. I'm ready to be wrong but I think it's krobia guianensis.
It's not unusual for some fish to exceed average size.
 
Jason - there are several species in the genus krobia, not just xinguensis. I've kept and bred guianensis, and this is exactly what mine looked like. I lost my male a while back, but still have the female.

Sorry Guys- i misread it as xinguensis not guianensis- it could very well be guianensis (thats what happens when you sneak on mfk at work)
