Can anyone I.D. This guy?

I've seen him for sale here at the local LFS and when I went home to research him I couldn't remember the name. Any help would be appreciated

Looks like a silver tipped shark.

Get about 14", peaceful, brackish...or so I have heard.

Makes sense. Although I've seen silver tipped sharks I've never seen them like this, but that could just be the lights.

no unfortunately it's not an arius jordani it's a Chrysichthys longipinnis or aluminium catfish very cool african species for more info look it up on planet catfish

Looks like a baby channel catfish to me but then again, it could be lights.

Yep,this is a Chrysichthys aka African big-eyed catfish, aluminum catfish, midnight catfish, etc. http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/genus.php?genus_id=153

It's a big genus with many look-alikes, so ID at the species level is often futile, especially for laymen.

Yes they are. Used to be much cuter smaller. The one atop is a rescue from a horror of a tank/tankmates. He barely had any fins left 2 years ago. I think his mouth/jaws are deformed too. Anyhooo, those eyes are a guick give-away... these may help further:

I dont think the dorsel is right for a longipinnis.
