This is the HOB filter that came with the 110g I got off CL a few weeks ago. It seems like it's missing some parts but I have no idea what model it is to find the parts for it. I was hoping to be able to use it on my 50g tank.

The second picture is of the pump and a weird plastic cylinder that goes inside the filter.

Thanks,

Kash

The pump is not attached to the cylinder, that's just an air line that comes out of the pump! Also, if it help, the original owner used Aqueon Large cartridges in it.

Looks like a very old peguin 350 imo, add an ac110 for better results!

I really don't want to spend any more money on a 50g tank that I got on CL for 15 bucks! This filter won't be going on the 110g. I already got a sump and magnum 350 for that one!

But I suppose if I can't find parts for it, I will have to get a different filter since this one is missing one of the covers and who knows what else! Any ideas on where I can find a manual or parts list?

Well, I managed to find a bio wheel filter for my tank, so I think I'm gonna give the HOB refugium a try in this thing!

depending on what you are missing, i.e the down tube you can make one. if its the impeller, multiple might work.

The pump and impeller parts seem to all be there. The main thing missing is half the top cover which I wouldn't use for a refugium anyway. Any suggestions on a clamp on type light to use for it and what type of plants I should look into since I've never had any live plants before?

Thanks

That is an old school Danner Supreme Skilter filter. The tube and cup on top is a protein filter for saltwater.
