Can anyone id this fish? Possibly a hybrid.

I recently got this fish, was told they didnt know what it was, maybe a texas? Thought ya'll might know. That is a seven or eight inch pot under him

Probably some hybrid in there but it looks mainly like a H. Cyanoguttatus (Texas) that was crossed with a short body flowerhorn (looking at the shape and face). Essentially an attempt at a red Texas that never faded.

It's H. cyanoguttatus aka Rio Grande Perch aka real Texas Cichlid from Texas.

That could be it but other than the shape it looks pure cyano too me. Maybe I'm wrong but it looks like a normal texas but with a slight shortbody mutation which can happen without hybridization.
