Interesting. Of the Gibbus [Sp?] I've seen online, this varies from it. I think it's just a plain 'ole ''Black Piranha.'' I only have my phone for a camera but I'll try to get a better picture.

I just base off the pics I've seen from aquascape. it resembles gibbus more to me as it's body is more elongated then a regular black. Like I said I could be totally wrong. :D

He does have the same shape kind of. I looked originally at Aquascape's picture of one in the net and it looked different.

Whatever kind he is I'm happy with the deal I got on him. He's about 5'' long and cost $14.95!

5" and only $14.95? that's a steal man. post up some better pics when you get the chance.

wish I could see the pigments.

That's the thing. This guy was either just imported or has been treated to the same conditions as other fish I've seen at the shop I got him at. That shop is not known for superior handling of any of it's animals.

I'm sure I'll have him in much better shape inside of two months so his real color and definitions show. I'll get a better picture up tonight.
