can anyone identify these barbs

They're labeled filament barbs, dont have any color besides the black dot and a little red on their tail.

They are. The color, etc, develops over time.

I was hoping that's what they were. I've been trying to find these for awhile. Found them at pet supermarket of all places. Thanks everyone.

A few different barb species have the black markings near their tail. You won't be able to tell which species you have until they mature.

Thanks for the information. I'll pick up a few tomorrow and see what happens. Ill be happy if they end up being any larger species.
