2 of my fish have had this strange spot on their pectoral fins. One has 2 or 3 of these spots and it has been going on for several months now. I tried rid ich, but I dont think its ich because its too large and it hasnt multiplied at all.

Please let me know if you know what this is. I have searched for an answer everywhere to no avail.

Thanks!!

I have herd that Oscars can develop a jewel, although i don't know anything about it, just herd that somewhere

Do the spots feel hard aside from being globular in shape? Look on lymphocystis as the possibility.

This could also be scar tissue, and this doesnt really heal. Fish that get nipped fins will get these white spots and they dont really go away.

Ok thats what Im thinking it is now too. I feel like an idiot for spending so much money on melafix, pimafix, rid ich, and everything else now.

I think it has to be this because there are no other symptoms of illness. My Dat is very stable and has been for a long time. Just has some weird spots on his fin.
