It's some type of Buccochromis, based off the pic I would go with nototaenia
 
Its Aristochromis christyi from lake malawi. Pretty cool fish, have kept and bred them before. They have desecnt sized mouths so if you think they can eat it they probably can.

He nailed it, right on. They are AKA Malawi Hawk.
 
You guys are great! The owner of the petshop could not identify but he said it was a female and he had a male that was more "blue" he was much bigger and +++$$.
