Can anyone please tell me what this is?

He's got a pink/reddish colored bump on the side of his head. He also
Hasn't eaten since I first got him about 2weeks ago, which I thought was normal for dats, but now that I just saw this, I think it's contributing to it's appetite. He swims and acts perfectly normal. He also fights here and there with another dat, any chance it's from an injury?? Thanks in advance for the help, he's gonna be quarantined and treated as soon as I find put what it is.

my IT sometimes has that too, but usually a dose of salt with fix it up.....

but on the other hand, be aware that it could somehow spread to the gills and cause some fatal incurable disease

seems to only affect big dats....

since its been a while since you posted this, hope you got it all fixed by now ^^; but if not, hope my info helps a little bit.
