I have planted my new tank for the first time so was wondering can i just let the plants grow naturaly or should i use a fertilser?

I have a juwel rekord 60 which has a 15 watt light so i think im covered there as the tank is 14.27 gallons. I will be having a community tank with tetra's,danios and a loach of some kind.

it sounds like the tank will be low light if it is kept that way you shouldnt need much if anything for fertz. tap water already has some nutrients for plants if the plants are under low light and are not super fast growing you shouldnt need much for fertz. but if you do want to go with fertz then liquid maybe the easiest to use on a tank that size.

also if you use tap water and dont add fertz be sure you use a dechlorinator and not a dechlorinator and denitrater ie prime because that can take about from some of the nutrients from the tap water that plants need

hope that is enough to get you started.
