So, I'm going down to the Bay this weekend, and I'll have some free time to check out some FS. Can anyone recommend their favorite fresh water FS in the bay? Anywhere in the bay, really. San Jose, SF, Berkeley---doesn't matter where.

Any type of fish in particular you are looking for?

Aqua traders last week in San Bruno had 6” black Aros for $90 only, but they only open Friday Sat and Sun

Hung Ming on Geneva Ave had a 10”tig for $400 (too pricey for me)

6th Ave have 7” Silver Aros for $20 only

Depends on what you are looking for. But these 3 stores carry the best stock IMO.

Both in Hayward

Fresh- Superway, tiny but what a great stock!

Salt- Aquatic Collection, hospital clean and huge!

Not recommended-

Connies, overpriced and diseased.

Great Bay Aquarium, not very great. Dirty tanks.

Side note-

Aquarium Concepts in Dublin is huge. Basic stock and pricy.

6th Avenue Aquarium on Clement..........

6th st aquarium on clement in SF has a huge selection but the fish are all poorly kept and will die within a week of you having them 100% guarantee. Lucky Ocean Aquarium has extremly knowledgeable people but they dont have a huge selection in stock, but can order any you would like such as RTCxTSN hybrids. There was a big fish store in Concord that I went to a few years ago and it has a amazing selection. Not sure if its still open or what it is called. Good luck. Berkeley might have some cool fish stores as well.

Thanks everyone! I'm not looking for any one specific fish but I'm mostly into SA/CA. Does anyone know anything about King Aquarium in San Jose?

King is a really nice fish store. If you are in San Jose definitely check it out and also check out Aquarium Showroom to be amazed with their aquarium set ups. You will be shocked!

I love kings :D Ive been there twice and the second time I went there I found out they had two big indoor ponds.

Again, thanks for the replies. Sounds like I have a busy weekend. Cal game on Sat., fish hunting on Sun. Hopefully it isn't raining too hard.
