can anyone recommend boggy or root in water plants?

Hey guys, wondered if anyone could recommend aquarium plants that do well above the waterline, with roots extending down into the water etc?

The straightforward one that comes to mind is pothos, which i will probably look into; but I'd like to know more.

water level will be temperate (17ish), 5 inches deep, open topped so won't be moist, quite airy if that helps (anubias leaves dry up to give an idea).

Do you want to see the roots? Are you trying to minimize nitrates or just looking for aesthetics? Lucky bamboo will grow this way but is a slow grower and won't help much with nitrate control. I've cone many houseplants by putting a clipping in water and letting roots grow, not showy in the tank but will work for above the tank aesthetic? I was just thinking about this today, might get a breeder box filled with gravel. for in my overflow and put some stems in it.

It's for half land half water setups, so a mix of nitrate removing and aesthetics are ideal

Most of the Hygrophila genus and umbrella palm Cyperus involucratus are some of the easiest to grow.
