Normally you can go on headshape to help sex. Mlaes usually have a much more curved/rounded head.....

As long as I have had mine I've never wondered about its sex,probably because I dont have room for twne sure way to sex the fish is to remove it from the tank,hold it in your hands,turn it over and look at the openings in its anal area(venting).

yeah we're leaning towards female as well. the dominant emperors that he has growing out seem to have alot more blue down their sides, so we're kinda assuming they are males. this one pictured is much larger than the growouts and isn't stressed at all and still has very little blue down it.

Weve got 6 of these at 3-4" in the shop at the moment, working on my boss to sell me one cos their his pets
