My school has 2 large, beautiful pacu. they are in a 275 gallon tank, but they are getting too cramped, and have started fighting with one another, tossing around all of the other tank inhabitants. Its getting to be a real mess. can anyone take them? they are really wonderful fish, and I want to see them go to a good home. The school is in Howard County. If you think you could take one (or both) of them, please post! They are destroying the tank!

i would contact the aquarium in baltimore.... since they are coming from a school they might take them....

they won't. I've been behind the scenes there with the program that takes care of these fish. I highly doubt they'll take them, school or not. also, I've heard from some people that they aren't really managing the animals they have that well, so I'm not gonna risk it.

You're in a hard place.. two pacu that don't get along in a 275g.. it will be a hard feat to find a home. GL.

what school??, I am in ellicott city. I donated my 2 pacu almost the same size to the dc zoo, The hardest part was getting them out of the tank and into the cooler. it took almost 2 hours, and almost 20 gallons of water on the floor / walls/ ceiling......give them a try. The only bad thing is that i had to take them to dc....
