Ma
I have 3 convicts in my tank and i noticed lately two of them have been moving the rocks in the corners and they will stay there for a while, they also always follow each other around and chase off other fish.

The one i think is a female is about 3.5'' has some orange around the stomach and some on the fins.

the one i think is a male is about 4.5''

Convicts don't get pregnant, you will notice that the females will brighten up when they are ready to spawn. Also she could be preparing to mate i just had my convict eggs hatch and they are doing good. They might eat the eggs a couple times mine mated and layed eggs 7 times before they actually kept them around, and make sure that the males aren't beating up on the female as well because they can sometimes kill their mate afterwards

I took a pic of both the convicts together hoping it might help out a little more.

left = male
right = female

Keep an eye out, Convicts can get pretty aggressive when the deed is done.....

If you have more than one con and two are opposite sex, the female will become gravid, not pregnant since they are egglayers. No way to stop it unless the female gets stressed or killed. Doesn't take anything but water to get cons to breed.... they are literally the rabbits of the cichlid world

i have a pair exactlly like yours. Mine hvent spawned yet but i can see some orange coloring on her fins and body sometimes. Other times she'll become a darker gray color.
