I just recently saw this algae spade on my wood and this decoration. Can anyone tell me what algae this is and if I can keep it or not. To me it looks good.

Algae is actually pretty good for your tank (it helps to consume nitrates) -- whether or not to let it exist in your tank comes down to personal preference.

In any case I must say that first pic looks like something painted by Van Gogh or Salvador Dali -- am I the only one who can see a rather haunting face with 2 black eyes?

Good and green,I'd keep it.It might even grow a little length to it....like hair or grass.

I agree, the more algae, the better, but prefer to just scrape it off the front glass.

That looks gorgeous.I remember an old now long gone shop that used to have a really nice growth of hair algae in most of their display tanks.....always an envy of mine lol.
