A few months back I lost all the fish in my kitchen tank overnight. The water tested just fine. The only wierd thing that happened was I burned a pan full of olive oil that I was heating up. The kitchen became smokey and the next morning all were dead.
Correlation or causation????

Never heard of anything like that before, but I suppose it would be possible pending on how smokey the kitchen got.. I would suspect that if there was enough smoke in the air it could have disrupted the O2 - CO2 exchange and possibly they could have died of smoke enhalation. Very intresting. Is the filter exposed to the air? Ie: water falling from a HOB filter?
