I have had very poor luck keeping plecos with my Dovii. They all "mysteriously" disappear!

What size is the dovii? You would have better luck if you I introduced a larger pleco to a younger dovii and then let the dovii grow up with the pleco. But you still may very well have some issues

If you want to risk a dead pleco, go for it!

Yea but when the dovii grows it may decide it doesn't like the pleco.
