Hello
I have seen screwed driftwood to slate rocks but has anyone siliconed dry driftwood to slate rock to keep it from floating?

I ask as rather silicone it than drill it

Thank you

yes but zipties/fishing line are better imo...

Silicone doesn't adhere well when thick, so if you choose to use this method, make sure the part that is getting siliconed is flat, and flush with the slate.

Hmmm thats an idea never thought of it fishing line sounds good and since its for cichlids would let algae grow around it to conceal it .

That sounds perfect thanks

Thanks I am going to try fishing line as it might be exactly what I need because the driftwood is fat and oddly shaped to flush a good portion with the slate like you mention is going to be a pain good advice thanks
