can duboisi have no band?

hey all! ive heard from a few ppl that the Tropheus Duboisi can have a blue head and a black body with no band, yellow or white. is that true?

with blue face yes, not stripe at all, no heard of... If stressed prehaps

mine took a very long time to develop its stripe, and while it was "stripeless" it had a blue head and black body after it lost the little white spots it had on its body as a baby.

Yes there are T. duboisi that don't develop stripes and some are just faint stripes they even produced a star dust duboisi the fish keeps it's spots to adulthood, hope this helps.

 

[Longstocking]

There is a line bred variant (not in the wild) that has no stripe once adults.
