Anyone know if earthworms carry any parasites? someone told me they would carry planarias and tapeworms.... which is kind of BS to me since they are land animals... I can believe planarians. but tapeworm?!

I'm sure they can but the chances of a terrestrial parasite surviving an aquatic environment is almost nil.
I'm sure they've got the potential to bring things into the tank that the fish have never been subjected to before. Then again, we take that chance any time we put any live foods into the tank.
Much safer and less likely to bring something harmful into the tank than aquatic worms.
