Hey all, I am considering picking up some elodea from my local pet store and growing it in a bucket or tote indoors to put in my pond in the spring. Does anybody know if the elodea will grow indoors next to a big window during the winter?
I agree with monkeybike, you will probably need to supplement the natural light with some artificial. Keep in mind there are a few Elodea species and be sure tp pick one that suits your climate
As long as you use a bulb with the proper kelvin rating and wattage. It needs to be around 6500k, this is what is generally referred to as day light. The wattage is harder to define because of so many variables, you may have to experimenter some to figure out what works.
