CAN FIGURE 8 PUFFERS LIVE IN FRESHWATER

HI im confused, i was going to purchase a figure 8 in my lfs and wanted to know if my freshwater 20 gal long, was ok its already cycled, however some sites are saying they need brackish water and also some sites are saying freshwater im confused please help ,because i want to purchase today
