Can Figure8 puffer stay with L46 community tank

Tank that house L46 plecos has snail outbreak. Plan to get a F8 puffer to eat the snails and remove after the puffer do the job.

Will the puffer attack the L46 plecos?

Possibly, I would recommend you get pea puffers or amazon puffers. The F8 puffer needs a brackish tank.

Get medium sized loaches to eat up all your snails. Get on well with L46.

I know F8 puffer need blackish water. It do survive well in normal tank when it is doing the snail infestion job.

I plan to put F8 puffer into tank and after the snail infestion is under control, it will be moved back to its tank.

Only worry is the puffer attack the L46 plecos.

Really any puffer is a very specialized fish that is going to need a lot of attention so I’d only get one if you are confident you can care for it long term. They aren’t the type of fish that are for a job. The more peaceful types won’t attack plecos though.
Assassin snails may be the best bet.

I’d opt for loaches personally
