Can frozen food introduce a disease???

I had the strangest thing happen to me. My SW tank has been established for 3 months disease free. All the sudden after I started using frozen food, my tank came down with a terrible brookinella outbreak that killed half my tank. Has anyone heard of something like this??????

It's possible, but I doubt it. No tank is actually disease free, they are there just generally the system is to healthy for them to be a problem though. Something may have happened to stress the fish causing the outbreak.
