My Boss was telling me that he can get me a 7" Flower ray for give or take £100. He said i can swap fish against it or work it off, so im considering getting ne brought in (hed quarentine and get it feeding for a few weeks to a month prior to me taking it) Would it get on with 2 female motoro? In a currently 4x2x2 but a 72x32x32 or a pond in the future?

I would suggest that you get some good ray keeping experience under your belt first. Flowers often come in, in less then perfect shape. They can be very tricky to get eating and could get easily out competed by a motoro. A well acclimated and healthy flower will be just fine with a motoro though. a 72x32 is too small as flower get BIG like motoros...

if you have a 7ft x 7ft tank then go for it flower rays can grow to 40inch

hears a pic of an adult tiger ray i think a flower ray will grow to close the same

I agree.. go 96x48 at least if you have room. Actually bigger from what T1 says if you get the flower. I won't tell you to not get it though. Because I think with MFK as support if you had problems with it you could take care of it. I never tell anyone to use other species as stepping stones as I truely believe if you're driven enough/devote enough you don't need to. Plus that's kind of a deal IMO.

I cant look at that picture enough!!! AWESOME!!!!!

I agree.. why'd I ever think of selling mine.. :screwy:

they are very sensitive and even with motoros of the same size get out competed for food.....I've had flowers and they are beautifull but way too sensitive....they don't like any kind of stress.... I personally think they are best kept bythemselves...
