i have 2 tanks ,one is 600 liters and the small one is 180 liters, yesterday and while i was in a pet shop i found a nice flower horn at a competitive price ... i checked it out, looked very well & healthy and has nice coloration.i asked the shoop keeper about his appetite,he said it is super and he put some small guppies and this guy ate them in seconds .... so i bought it :)
now i have in my main big tank:
1 arowana 25 cm
1 green terror 15 cm
3 blood parrot 10 cm
1 red tail cat 13 cm
1 short body green texas 6 cm
2 red terror 3-5 cm but ended up in the arowana's stomach !

the other tank had
3 clown loaches 12 cm
and 2 CL 4 cm

the man at the pet store told me it is better to keep him alone because he is very aggressive, he is 13 cm by way, so i moved all cl from the small tank and left him by him self ...
my question is, can i put him in the big tank with the little monsters ? or he will beat the rest of the guys up ??? because i am afraid that the arowana will have the 2 small cl 4 dinner:( >>>> they fit into her mouth :nilly:

I have a feeling the FH will first attack your green terror, then the texas, and then the blood parrots unless it decides to mate with one of them. Or any sequence of the above. if not now, later down the road.

so it is better to keep him alone in the small tank >>> but there will be a risk for the small CLs to be eaten ..... anya way .. and for the future ... if i want to make a pair from him and one of the BP ... how can i find the female between the three i have ???

You would need to put them all together and let them choose, and let the chips fall as they may.
Death for some may be the result. You could use an egg crate divider, and see who cozies up to whom.

Hi, I have the same issue here. I have a 34cm red aro and 2 weeks ago I introduced a short body flower horn into my 6ft tank. At first all seem fine but recently I noticed bite marks on the flower horn. To me it seems like my aro is playful, biting here and there playfully but at the same time worried abt the flower horn. Can someone here please advice. Many thanks in anticipAtion.

Get another tank for the FH.

i would not try it myself just from what i herd but anything could work out just keep an eye on it

there is a RARE time when they are housed well with other fish... they are normally bullies Iwouldnt try it.. I have one in my 180 gal cichlid tank only because they are all 2 inches and have tons of room to run and hide
