Can I add sant to a running tank???

I have my 110gal up and running I was wondering is there an easy way to put sand at the bottom without having to remove the fishes and the drift wood and such.

i have done it. first rinse all ur sand good. then i used a funnel with a hose attached and so that the end of the hose was laying on the bottom of the tank and slowly poured it in the funnel. make sure u shut off ur filters first so they dont suck up the sand.. aslo im not sure if ur using hangon filters but the sand will eat up the shafts that slide through the impeller and will need replaced every 4-8 mos depending on ur setup.. also use the shortet tubes u can so there not close to the bottom picking up sand.. thats been my experience with sand anyways.
