Can I add some Odessa barbs?

AqAdvisor puts the currently planned stocking of my 2nd 473 liter at 129% (slightly below the 130%, which is the 100% for intermediate and up fishkeepers):

https://aqadvisor.com/AqAdvisor.php?AquTankName=&AquListBoxTank=Choose&AquTankLength=183&AquTankDepth=47&AquTankHeight=55&AquListBoxFilter=Aquaclear+110&AquTextFilterRate=416+&AquListBoxFilter2=Aqueon+QuietFlow+55&AquTextFilterRate2=227+&AquFilterString=chalceus&AquListBoxChooser=Pink+Tailed+Chalceus+%28Chalceus+macrolepidotus%29&AquTextBoxQuantity=&AquTextBoxRemoveQuantity=1&FormSubmit=%3C+Remove&AquListBoxSelected=9+x+Redline+Shark+%28Puntius+denisonii%29&AlreadySelected=200909300114%3A9%3A0%3A%2C200909300249%3A6%3A0%3A%2C201001061665%3A6%3A0%3A%2C200911041031%3A3%3A0%3A%2C200909300246%3A6%3A0%3A%2C201001061670%3A9%3A0%3A%2C200909300186%3A1%3A0%3A%2C201001021206%3A1%3A0%3A&FilterMode=Display+all+species&AqTempUnit=C&AqVolUnit=L&AqLengthUnit=cm&AqSortType=cname&FilterQuantity=2&AqJuvMode=&AqSpeciesWindowSize=short&AqSearchMode=simple

However, this 129% is only based on the footprint of the tank without taking into account how much depth there is to accomodate mid-top dwellers. As the AqAdvisor guide says, it only accounts for B out of B (bottom), M (middle), and T (top): https://aqadvisor.com/articles/AqAdvisorIntro.php

Considering this, would 6 (M-T dwelling) Odessa barbs be able to fit in spacewise with the other M-T dwellers? Or would I be better off to either forgo the Odessas or reduce the numbers of something else to fit them in?

Sorry, don’t use aqua advisor and don’t know anyone who does.
What are you planning stock to be again?

Is this the one with 6 Burmese loaches, 3 weather loaches, 6 yoyo loaches, 6 zebra loaches, 9 striped kuhli loaches, 8 roseline sharks, 1 red tail or rainbow shark, and 1 pink tail chalceus?

IMO leave out the chalceus and get a shoal of 8 Odessa barbs instead. The chalceus will grow too big too quick for the rest of the stock. And not sure at 10” it could fully be trusted with Khuli loach.
Odessa are vastly under rated IMO. Get a happy shoal of each sex and they show some terrific colours.

Thanks for the tip. Considered, because even though I was told chalceus tended not to bother even bite size fish, fish behavior is far from set in stone and I could end up losing a lot of money .
The gender ratio is good to know as well.

With the Odessa you really want an even ish split. As it’s the males that will really colour up. But they will do that best with females around. Obviously the bigger the group the better, min really 8.
