my blue acara spawned last monthin a planted community tank, they laid eggs on a driftwood, I moved parents and eggs to a new bare bottom tank, the eggs did hatch but unfortunately the move was very stressful and the parents ended up eating their fry....
they are still in the bare bpttom taml, I expect them to spawn again, should I add substrate or sand since acara like digging in sand or they will be just fine ?

I would add sand.
Cichlids like to dig pits during breeding especially to deposit the young once they have hatched.
