I current have 3 species of pikes in 3 seperate 70 gallon tanks.
1. 8" johanna female beutiful red girl but vry shy....
2. 3 5 to 6" Xingu 1 the way they are colored it appears I might have 1 male and 2 females and they still hang out together.
3. 3 4" Lucius or Proteus pikes and it seems they all might be males as there are no dorsal markings except for a red edge on all 3. 2 still hang together but the 3rd gets run off by the largest one.

I am getting a 185 (60" x 30" x 24" tall) could this be large enough to house all 7? I will most likely also be getting a 180 (72 x 24 x 24) in the near future as well so if I have to split them into 2 groups what is the best ones to try to house together?

Your Johanna and Xingus will reach 12" at the very least (for the females - if well taken care of). If they're males they can easily attain 16". In stark contrast Proteus maxes out at 10" (rarely; normally about 8" or 9") and Lucius males get to 8" MAX. Needless to say it's a no go in the long run. The current size difference is also too great. Sorry to burst your bubble.

It is as stated above. The size differences ( current and future ) will make this virtually impossible. The best chance to make crens compatible is to start them off very small (2-4" range) in the same enivironent together, all females helps, and a lot of luck. Also it is my belief that having other cichlids growing out with them helps to except to a community environment .
You will not be able to keep a Sax and Lugibris together in the long run. Just to much adult size differences.

Just wondering...Why would you want to combine species in the first place? You know how pikes are.

If it works out it is quite a site, to see several large pikes interact together without any aggro. I currently have three different species of Lug females
that have no aggro what so ever that are a pleasure to observe.:)
