can i do a 75% w.c on my 20 gallon?

I use week old aerated aged water, then prime it a day before w.c, (yes I baby my baby green terror lol) question is would 75 be pushing it or should I stick with the 50 %, he LOVES when I do w.c and I feed him nls he takes tons of huge dumps and dirtys the tank quick. to cycle the tank I just filled it up with water from my 125 then added some small fish and let it run for a couple days, tested the water and got all 0 readings beside nitrate then added him, I did a water change about a week and half after, I don't wanna go through mini cycles so lets say I do a w.c in the middle of the day I don't feed him til the next morning to let water chemistry settle, I have an aquaclear 70 filter and a 50 aquaclear filter hooked up so im way overfiltered, what do you guys think?...mind u the tank has only been setup like 3 weeks
 
Do small water changes. Your cycle is far from over.

Don't risk interrupting it.

yea, but did u read my full post, its water from my 125, although there was a time when I got small amounts of ammonia and nitrite that was when I added the green terror, I took him out and put some other fish in there to finish the cycle and then when things wer good I put him in , I did no w.c until like a week and a half then did a half w.c. I did my second w.c 2d it was a 50%, should I chill wit that and drop it to 25% to not risk it?
 
I usually read entire posts :)

You just added water. When you do that, it helps, but you should also add used, cycled media ( that is the way to mount a viable tank in one day...)

What are your nitrate readings?

Yep. Hou don't need, neither do fish like, 75% changes in one go, unless you have a problem you need to deal with.

Better smaller ones more regularly
 
That or smaller, 5% to 10% every day, more or less...

It is a small tank.
