can I do this with my stand

Hope you can understand the picture but my idea is: I would like to put a stand (125,150 or 210) over a 4inch pipe in my house what I would have to do to put a tank there would be cut out a 4-6inch area of the stand, put the stand over the pipe then renail the stand together.Would this work.

sorry didn't realize the size of my paint image, top one says cut (where there is no black bar), bottom one is the green is the pipe (buttons up against the wall and throw the floor) the red is where I would re-nail it. also would it be better to put it more to the left or the right or center?

So long as there are vertical supports/legs on each side of the pipe you'll be fine.
