I just pick up a 400 gallon horse trough and was wondering If I just cleaned it out and put my rays in it would the rays be ok? or does It need a pond liner or something? Its metal.

i am not a ray guy. i would think that its goin to react with the metal tho. even gavaniezed rusts. just my thoughts. i would say not the best idea.
ok I did wind up putting the liner in. now I just need to get my filtration to stop leaking and than get a heater and i'm done. will post some pics up later

but hey the pond liner was $64 the pump was $65 the filters were on clearance for $14.99 form being $59 each and I paid $80 for the horse trough. I think I got it all for a good deal. now when my male otorongo comes him and his female will have space to move
