yes you can. Best way to go. Or you can buy tiny trash shrimps from pets stores and pay more.

I'm feeding him spirulina based brine shrimp instead that should be a better diet right? Lol

Pellets are a well balanced staple, shrimp are better used for a treat.

Oh yah I know I give him a well balanced diet, I got him eating mostly spirulina flakes and spirulina brine shrimp, and some times NLS, with blood worms on the side he's got a wide variety haha.
