Yes it's a stupid question that i should already know but i was wondering if it would be ok to feed my fish for example my bichirs, jack dempsey, and wolf fish shrimp that you buy from the store? I am tired of buying blood worms and id like something a little bigger. Also i plan on feeding them shrimp bought from a grocery store so should it be cooked or uncooked?

The reason i post this under health issues is because i want to know if it will have enough nutrition in it for my fish.

I go to Aldi's for my shrimp. Kroger sells their shrimp for $6.99 a pound, Aldi's is $3.50 a pound.
I take out the days feedings the previous day and put it in a sandwich bag in the fridge. Take it out right before feeding and de-shell it. Then just dice it up. I find the smaller you dice it up the more the smaller fish will eat.
Get raw shrimp.

Edit... You still want to vary their diet. I even stuff massivore pellets in the shrimp for the ones that won't eat pellets.
And while you're at Aldi's grab a bag of tilapia fillets too, bichirs love it.

I have fed my Polypterus Delhezi shrimp and he liked it. My green terror hated it though. My giant danios liked it but than stopped eating it. Pleco, tasted it for like 10 seconds and left. Betta, ate it all night.
