OK so took a friend to pick up a 55 gallon tank. There was a Pleco and 10 of these guys in the tank. I claimed the Pleco as soon as I saw it for one of my tanks. He says the other fish are to big right now and wants me to take them. He will grab some babies from me later not a big deal. Hey they are Pink how can I say no?
The water was so bad I assumed they were just common Convicts (which I have a prison tank full of). I get them home they are Pink now I am happy I grabbed them (on a quest to make a Pink and Black convict) and after I get them dropped in a tank I realize not only are they kind of pink they are not Convicts. So far on facebook I have gotten Red Terrors. So is this correct? (I assume it is) and what can I breed to them? Also how can I tell male/ female? If it turns out I have M/F I will let them breed as normal. If I have all females I have some males that would love to see a girl lol
The tank is a little cloudy (the filters get in tomorrow) and we will be grabbing a heater for the tank tomorrow at the same time and doing a water change.
