so heres the question. i have a 72 bowfront FOWLR (niger, humu trigger/ tomato clown, domino damsel, starfishes, urchins, hermits, spotted hawkfish) the domino and tomato clown are larger than the triggers and they all get along fine, thus far.
so heres the question, can i get an anemone for tomato. i am curently using a coralife light with the one white and one blue bulb. but will be getting the aqualight with 2 whites, 2 blues, and night led's
i hope i gave enough info. all qquestions and comments will be great

thanks bunches

1. no low light anemones will host a clown.
2. hosting anemones need at least 5 watts per gallon, preferably more like 10 and some ritteri take 20+
3. no worry with the triggers, they wont bother anemones

Not enough light for an anemone, sorry.

Get a directional light and put it just over the anemone. If you place the anemone in a good spot, with water current, light, and footing, it should stay where you put it.

My Rose bubble tip moved down a couple rocks - maybe the light was too intense. My Condy hasn't moved in 11 months.

turner. what other fish do you have with your anemones and what do you feed them?

You can never count on an anemone not to move.

All my fish are reef safe. Damsels, wrasses, blenny, basslets, hawkfish, dwarf angel, tangs, and GSM clowns. If I removed all of the corals, I would have a FOWLR with some anemones in it though.

I feed my anemones shrimp and silversides. One medium/jumbo shrimp every other week. One small silver side the following week. The tube anemone catches mysid shrimp. If you use a turkey baster you can squirt the mysid towards the tubes tentacles. For feeding shrimp and fish, you just touch a tentacle and the anemone will grab it and pull it in. Don't stick the food directly in the anemones mouth.

I agree with the previous poster though. You cannot guarantee that the anemone will not wander, but if you use a directional light, you can adjust it.

If you don't plan on it hosting, look into a tube anemone. They don't move and look pretty cool. They also pack a sting so should be able to defend themselves against things that don't specifically eat anemones. Also, fish seem to know that an anemone is bad news.

Watch out though, tube anemones can catch fish & sting them quite badly. I have 2 badly scarred puffers recouperating right now from getting ensnared by one.

Heres a link to tube anemones. They don't require strong light. Get a blacklight LED and let it shine on it all the time for their full effect. The one I have has two tubes, one has bright green inner tentacles and the other has jet black inner tentacles. The link mentions about making a PVC "pot" for it. I would imagine that you could put this pot anywhere you want in the tank and can hide it with some rock.
