I'm on my way too go pick up 3 6-7" gulpers my question is do you guys think a 10" royal clownknife and a 15" arowana be ok with them there in with Rays right now the smallest being 8" the guy said he's never feed them live in getting them either way I'll put the aro and knife on another tank if they won't work together just curious what your guys opinions are

I think gulper's tank mates MUST be

-- utterly non-predatory and
-- absurdly larger than them.

8" ray is too wide in one dimension for them to swallow albeit I personally wouldn't risk this either - predators can roll rays up like sushi if they have to when they can get a hold of their prey. But a 10" clown knife I'd think may be in danger, despite the high arching back.

15" arowana may prey on a 6" gulper. There is no good combo IMHO of an aro and a gulper - either one eats the other or vise versa at any size combo.

Acceptable tankmates for gulper catfish:guppies, freshwater shrimp, many aquatic insects, small tetras and danios, peaceful fish at least twice as large as them(koi, girrafe catfish etc),freshwater mussels and snails .
